TALKING TO YOUR CHILD ABOUT ADOPTION

The workshop will help parents gain insight into their child’s adoption experience and learn ways to talk to their child about adoption at all stages of development.

Topics will range from telling the child about their birth parents, knowing what information to provide to your child and when, and learning how to create an open atmosphere that promotes healthy conversations about the adoption experience.

There will also be two guest speakers to provide real-life experiences and challenges they have faced from the perspective of an adoptive parent and an adult adoptee.

Free Information Evenings

This session is the first step for those exploring the possibility of adopting.

The information session has been developed to provide prospective adoptive parents with insight into private and intercountry adoption. The session will also provide information about the adoption process as well as information about our agency. The information session is approximately 2 hours, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory prior to proceeding to the next step in the process.

Conceiving Dreams

The 2025 Conceiving Dreams Dinner & Trivia Night is on Saturday October 25th at Canad Inns Polo Park.

This exciting evening marks the kickoff to Adoption Awareness Month in November, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Get ready for a night full of fun, energy, and friendly rivalry as teams go head-to-head in a live, interactive trivia competition. Using wit, wisdom, and maybe a little luck, each table will compete to outsmart the others and claim the title of Trivia Champion. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—guests will also enjoy a delicious dinner, capture memories in our photo booth, and have the chance to win incredible prizes through our rainbow and silent auctions. And don’t forget the grand prize and 50/50 raffle! The deadline to purchase tickets is Monday October 13, 2025.
